“Tribunal da internet”: qual limite do direito à liberdade de expressão na cultura do cancelamento?.
Resumo
The present work deals, in the face of the advent of the Internet, with the possible limits
to the Right of Freedom of expression from the perspective of the culture of
cancellation, with the objective of investigating the limit between the fundamental rights
of freedom of expression and the protection of honor, in the context of the internet. It
discusses, then, the relationship between this right and the right to honor protection,
both constituted as fundamental rights set out in the Federal Constitution of 1988, as
well as the possible ways of resolving this conflict. It is concluded, preliminarily, that,
since the interactions between individuals in social networks are dynamic, each conflict
between the fundamental rights of freedom of expression and protection of honor must
be approached and treated in a specific way for each concrete case. It is, finally, a
bibliographical and documentary research with the aim of analyzing the limits between
the fundamental rights to freedom of expression and the protection of honor.
