A evolução da legislação sobre armas de fogo no Brasil.

Abstract

This work intends to investigate, research and understand the legislation on firearms in Brazil, more precisely, investigating its legal evolution, throughout history until now. Initially, it will deal with the history of firearms, bringing considerations about its emergence, concept and evolution. At a regional level, the emergence of such objects in Brazil must be investigated, as well as the modernization and emergence of the Brazilian arms industry, passing through historical facts that marked and boosted the creation of specific legislation to deal with firearms. Therefore, it enters into the emergence of the first laws to deal with firearms, in compliance with the legal provisions that sought to regulate the carrying and possession of such objects, observing the content of the provisions and the factors that influenced their creations and improvements, enabling the evolution of legal texts, to the present day. Furthermore, as this is an issue of important social relevance, which, nowadays, is still the result of many debates and discussions, the reading is brought up, the issue of carrying and possessing firearms, bringing the conceptualization of such situations. Finally, it will be explained, the emergence of the current legislation that deals with firearms in Brazil, as the positivization of such legislation, encouraged a national campaign for the disarmament of the civilian population and what are the current requirements to have access to a firearm in Brazil.
