A tecnologia a serviço da mobilidade urbana em Fortaleza-CE.
Resumo
In recent years, Fortaleza, as in other cities, has been experiencing a considerable
increase in the fleet of circulating vehicles and one of the consequences is the decrease
in the use of public transport and the increase in congestion, which has generated many
mobility problems. With the coming of the 4th industrial revolution, where solutions to
everyday problems have been sought with the use of technology to help this evolution.
Given this scenario, this work seeks to evaluate the performance of the technology
applied within the traffic light control system in the city of Fortaleza, comparing the
performance of the operation at specific times and at times when the traffic light control
operates in a fixed time regime, against the real-time demand traffic light controller. The
method is divided between the SCOOT data consolidation stage and the graphical
analysis of the traffic performance in each scenario, through the evaluation of speed,
capacity, volume, travel time and service level variables. The results show the
improvement in traffic in areas where intelligent transport systems are used.
