A internet à luz da democracia deliberativa: desafios para uma deliberação plural e igualitária.
Resumo
The present work focuses on carrying out a reinterpretation of the Deliberative Democracy
Theory proposed by Jürgen Habermas, analyzing it under the prism of the advent of the
internet and other Information and Communications Technologies. Therefore, the aim is, first,
to show that the Internet has the capacity to materialize public and potentialize public
deliberations - the core of Deliberative Democracy - and can be seen as a new and updated
public sphere. Then, it seeks to investigate how and on which aspects the Internet itself
challenges in achieving a plural and egalitarian deliberation.
