O relativismo de protágoras como pressuposto remoto para o positivismo contemporâneo: positivismo não inclusivo e positivismo inclusivo.
Resumo
This monographic work aimed to investigate the origins and formation of protagorical
relativism, as well as its contribution to the construction of contemporary positivism. It
was also examined how Kelsen’s Pure Theory of Law departs from the perspective of
relativism for the understanding of law as a social phenomenon. And finally, it was
intended to investigate the dilemma of contemporary positivism in its relationship with
morality. The methodology used was theoretical-bibliographic in nature, as dealt with
the researched theme, that is, Protagoras’ Relativism as a Remote Assumption for
Contemporary Positivism, based on specific thinkers. As for the use of the results, the
research was pure, as it was intended to broaden the base of scientific knowledge on
the subject. Regarding the purpose, the research proved to be exploratory, as it
proposed a hypothesis about the theory of protagorical relativism as a remote
assumption for contemporary positivism, and sought to prove it. As for the approach,
the research is classified as qualitative, as it is premised on the understanding and
interpretation of the theme, assigning meaning to the data obtained.
