Resumo: The present study is intended to investigate the role of the Court Official in the State of Cear· in achieving the effectiveness of the judicial procedure. With the transformations of Brazilian legal norms, one of the greatest cares of the new constitutional order has been to give effectiveness to judicial activity in a broad way. Taking into account the results of judicial protection at the material level, it is observed, in this context, the principle of effectiveness of the process. One of the main professionals responsible for the progress of judicial decisions is the Official of Justice, who, through his public faith, becomes suitable for procedural execution, being considered <the eyes of the judge= outside the courtroom. Through the Official of Justice, the magistrate proceeds with the progress of the process. In this context, the legal system confirms the importance of the Bailiff, being considered an essential professional, even in view of the progress of information and communication technologies in the legal environment. The general objective that guides the present study is: to investigate the role played by the Justice Officer of the State of Cear· regarding the achievement of procedural effectiveness. The specific objectives are: i) to identify the acts performed by the Bailiff in light of the Brazilian legal system; ii) evaluate the analyzed functions, taking into account the technological advance in judicial automation services, aligned with the managerialism of the implemented technology; iii) describe the difficulties faced by the Bailiff in fulfilling his duty. The methodology of the present research is based on a qualitative approach, in order to enable the fulfillment of the referred objectives on the performance of the Official of Justice with regard to his contribution to judicial effectiveness. The study was carried out through analysis of an empirical nature, accessing numerical data and subjects belonging to the objective reality of Justice in Cear·. Furthermore, bibliographical and documentary research is carried out, which will serve as support for carrying out the necessary analyzes to achieve the proposed objectives. The advancement of information and communication technology and access to the Judiciary brought to light the question of the need for the functions performed by the Bailiff in the procedural progress. The Court Official, in this context, is considered the link between those who seek to assert their rights and the Judiciary, noting the important role assumed in the midst of the fulfillment of the demands of the jurisdictional, being responsible for translating the legal terms that , in certain situations, are not understood by people who do not have legal training. For this reason, the relevance of the present study is reaffirmed, aiming to contribute to define the importance of the Bailiff, being considered an indispensable agent in procedural effectiveness, giving greater visibility to the functions performed by this professional who is considered the front line of the Judiciary. , as well as showing future researchers and society its true work.
