    Resumo
People management is an important pillar in the civil construction sector, as it is one of the sectors that most employ human labor. In 1992, Koskela created the Lean Philosophy, which has eleven basic principles that support the application of this philosophy and the development of its tools. With the analysis of these concepts it is possible to establish a control of the process, in which it is being implemented and the improvement in production. Over the past few decades, organizations from virtually all sectors have used Lean as a fundamental means to transform management realities, enhance results and better use human potential. Thus, the application of the principles will seek to define concepts of people management applied to construction sites that are based on Lean principles and use their tools for development and evaluate studies that report the impact on lean philosophy in people management in civil construction.
