Resumo

children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The general objective of the
investigation, which used an integrative literature review as its methodology, is to analyze
how the clinical psychologist contributes to the care of children with ASD. The survey
with workers used the PRISMA Checklist. The descriptors Psychology AND Autism
AND Child were used. In the Pepsic Brasil, SciElo and Periódico CAPE databases.
Initially, 353 articles were identified and after the selection and exclusion process that
4
would be empirical research, in the clinical area of psychology and with children up to
12 years old, which were published only in Brazilian Portuguese, 10 articles were
considered that corroborated the study. The results indicate that, regardless of the
psychologist's approach, he is able to provide care and understanding to the subject with
ASD. The caregivers' reports at the beginning of the monitoring process are highlighted
as being of great relevance for the conduct of the professional's actions, as well as for the
bond between the subjects involved for a better development of the child. Listening,
expression and recreation can contribute to the management of sessions as educational
factors. Therefore, it is understood that the identifications described here can provide a
new perspective on the care and reception of children on the autism spectrum. It is
understood that it is important to expand research and studies that collaborate with family
members, professionals and scientific studies, facilitating assistance and care with these
children.
