Avaliação de obras de urbanização e requalificação: um estudo de caso dos impactos na comunidade do vicente pinzon em fortaleza.
Resumo
The Santa Terezinha Hill, located in the Vincent Pinzon neighborhood in Fortaleza -
CE, underwent an intensive process of urbanization and disorderly occupation starting
in the 1980s. This period resulted in a partial landslide in 2015, triggered by heavy
rains. Subsequently, it underwent a comprehensive process of revitalization,
requalification, and reurbanization, conducted by the Government of Ceará in
collaboration with the Fortaleza City Hall, and was completed in 2018. The hill now
features interlocking pavement squares, underground garbage bins, outdoor gyms, a
playground, an amphitheater, two mini-soccer fields, a boardwalk, and new lighting.
The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the solutions implemented in the
revitalization of Santa Terezinha Hill and to assess the satisfaction and perception of
the population towards it. The research included bibliographic surveys on the area in
question, as well as analyses of news, geological-geographical maps, and satellite
images. Additionally, questionnaires were conducted to gather information about the
current situation of the hill. Based on geographical, geological, and geotechnical
parameters, the natural soil of the site was classified as fine sand, with low clay and
silt content. The study also addresses the complete process of revitalizing Santa
Terezinha Hill, which included techniques such as regrading, surface protection,
construction of retaining walls, and the implementation of an adequate drainage
system. These interventions significantly differ from the previous condition of the slope.
