Sexualidade interdita: o desenvolvimento sexual de adolescentes com TEA.
Resumo
The article aims to understand the overall sexual development of autistic adolescents and the practices of care in this aspect. The specific objectives include exploring the difficulties that autistic adolescents face regarding sexuality, examining the practices of caregivers and/or family members that impact the sexual development of adolescents, and identifying different intervention techniques suitable for assisting in the sexual education of autistic adolescents. This systematic literature review utilized the PRISMA 2020 methodology to organize data collection, selecting 22 articles that included experience reports and field research. The results revealed that limitations
in verbal communication and a lack of understanding of complex concepts contribute to frustrations and the development of inappropriate behaviors in adolescents. Regarding caregiver practices, discomfort and a lack of qualified professionals are commonly observed. As for techniques, there is limited academic production related to development, but communication development with caregivers and adaptation are demonstrated to be effective.
