Influência de adições minerais pozolânicas no processo de carbonatação do concreto.
Resumo
This study aimed to analyze, the through a literature review, results of tests with the
addition of fly ash, silica fume, and metakaolin in different percentages of addition and
substitution in mass to cement in to obtain, thus, an analysis of the influence of these
additions on the concrete carbonation process. Secondly, to help understand the
influence of these additions, the results obtained for compressive strength and water
absorption were also extracted from the selected works. To get the answers, we sought
to analyze the results of depth and carbonation coefficient, compressive strength, and
sorptivity of concrete produced by several authors. Therefore, the method of
bibliographic review was chosen to obtain and collect data through a search for
keywords in the primary research bases such as SciELO, Google Scholar, among
others. In general, the data from the selected studies allow us to conclude that the
mineral additions promote mechanical improvements in the concrete by refining the
structure of the hydrated cement paste, on the other hand, the pozzolanic additions
consume the Ca(OH)2 reserve of the concrete, making -the most susceptible to
carbonation. Through the study, variability of methods, different test conditions, and
use of materials can be seen, making it difficult to standardize the analyses. In this
way, generic conclusions are obtained, but they serve as a guide for future research.
