Abstract

This work deals with the mechanisms for guaranteeing and protecting the Rights of Children and Adolescents, specifically on the Guardianship Council as a body that seeks a balance in terms of the effective performance of the Rights of Children and Adolescents. Based on the study regarding the process of choosing its guardianship councilors, aiming to show a simplified language of what a guardianship council represents and its attributions so that the existing content in this work can bring knowledge based on contemporary authors who report on the matter from different points of view. Finally, provide a study focused on the Guardianship Council of Fortaleza-CE and its main attributions and issues. Finally, in the final considerations, briefly, an approach to the history and advances in Brazilian legislation on the rights of children and adolescents, a brief digression on some particularities of the Guardianship Council, starting with a critical look at the Guardianship Council of Fortaleza- CE, ending with a brief speech about the point of view and results of this study.
