Abstract

The present work aims to study the Parental Alienation Law (12.318/10), including the possibility of civil liability under the Brazilian legal system. Considering the importance of the family as an affective, socializing and educational institute, as well as its evolution over the years, considering exclusively the aspects of family power and the modalities of custody. As a central point, the family problem called parental alienation will be alluded to in order to clarify the matter for society with the purpose of implementing and facilitating the identification of the problem in a way that makes early recognition possible, even pointing out the effects caused by parental alienation and its defense plans.
