Implicações do afastamento escolar por hospitalização no desenvolvimento infantil

This article has as main objective to analyze the implications of school leave for the development of ospitalized children, as well as to understand the impact of this distance on the child's cognitive or intellectual development and its emotional effects, and the psychosocial implications. The methodology used is an integrative bibliographic review in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Latin American and caribbean Literature in Sciences and Health (Lilacs), Virtual Library of Psychology (VHL / Psi), Electronic Journals in Psychology ( Pepsic) and Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), using the keywords: “school leave”, “hospitalization” and “child”. These 32 articles were filtered according to inclusion criteria: works in Portuguese, articles produced in the last 20 years, works that addressed the impact of the removal of children from school due to hospitalization, and exclusion criteria: such as work in foreign language, produced before the year 2000 and works that addressed school leaving for another factor other than the hospitalization of children, totaling 16 articles.
