As contribuições da psicologia para a sensibilização no processo de inclusão de pessoas com deficiência no mercado de trabalho.
Resumo
This scientific article presents a historical perspective on the issue of work, autonomy and the
identification of human beings over the years when carrying out their activities, in view of the
considerable changes with regard to the inclusion of people with disabilities (PwDs) in the
labor market and in the way Organizational and Work Psychology (POT) has acted to change
a scenario of exclusion, prejudice and rooted stigmas in relation to the physical, mental and
psychological capacities of people with disabilities. The research carried out is qualitative and
uses Psychology as a science to permeate the study about the awareness regarding the
inclusion of PwDs in response to a social reflex and pre-established concepts that make it
difficult to hire these minorities. The study in question presents psychological strategies to
encourage recognition of the work capabilities of PwDs in organizations, promoting empathy
among employees and business owners to raise awareness, on the part of organizations,
around living with different realities, which are propagated by highlighting skills and
competences that also deserve recognition, respect and opportunities, taking into account
educational, cultural, architectural and economic issues that go beyond the organizational
desire, since this is a group task, which includes initiatives not only from the government, but
also from society. The research presents, in its conclusions, experiences on what has been
3
done to change this scenario from the contributions of Organizational Psychology in
companies and in the elaboration of contents and campaigns that encompass the key process
of inclusion.
