O papel do psicólogo na ressocialização de apenados no Brasil.
Resumo
This is an exploratory literature review that aims to address the historicity of the penal
system and how the practice of torture was present and still is to this day within
prison units, exposing the inhumanity with which prisoners are treated, which hurts
their dignity and goes against their rights. Furthermore, it also deals with respect for
the stigma that these people face and how society limits the possibilities of
reintegration of these individuals through judging and describing the possibility of
change for these individuals, denying opportunities to do so. In this way, this work
seeks to treat resocialization as a social responsibility as well, not just that of the
individual. It is essential that there is multidisciplinary work to assist in the subject's
re-education, but there are also other aspects that influence the success of this work,
such as the support network and projects that allow the subject the opportunity to
have autonomy in order to avoid recurrence. Penal alternatives are an important tool
to achieve this objective, and the psychologist is an important agent in this process,
and will accompany the individual, the family, the multidisciplinary team, in addition to
working on projects that ensure that this subject has their rights respected and that
he be reinstated having all the necessary resources to not return to the practice of
crime.
