    Resumo
The diagnosis of cancer, especially when beyond the therapeutic possibility of cure, triggers in the individual several changes that bring with it physical, psychological, social and spiritual factors. In the practice of Palliative Care, the measures taken are intended to alleviate the existing problems surrounding the illness, prevent the occurrence of new ones, whether physical or psychological, and provide quality of life for both the patient and their companion/family member. . Interventions occur through a multidisciplinary team, considering that the suffering that involves the patient in this condition occurs globally. In this sense, Psycho-oncology linked to Palliative Care seeks to provide full assistance to cancer patients, in order to provide them with relief and control of the symptoms presented. It is part of his contributions to identify the impacts of cancer on the emotional functioning of the patient, family and team of professionals involved in the treatment, as well as the role of psychological and behavioral variables in the occurrence of the disease and in its survival. The objective of the present study is to investigate the contributions of Psycho-oncology in multidisciplinary Palliative Care teams. The method used in the research was the integrative literature review. This enables the ability to organize scientific knowledge, so that the researcher has a closer relationship with the problem he wants to analyze, outlining an in-depth study of his scientific production to learn about the evolution of the topic over time. The results and discussion are presented throughout the work in three specific categories, namely: 1) Psycho-oncology: definition, potentialities and challenges at different levels of care; 2) Palliative Care: brief historical context and establishment of the practice in Brazil; 3) Convergence of Psycho-oncology and Palliative Care. Therefore, it was possible to broaden the discussion on the subject in question by providing contributions to future research on the subject, providing content capable of improving practices already carried out by professionals in this area, as well as bringing knowledge to those who are interested in it. Keywords: Psycho-oncology; Cancer; Palliative care; Multidisciplinary Team.
