A ideação suicida na adolescência sob a perspectiva da logoterapia.
Resumo
It is observed that, once the person is faced with their deepest personal questions,
there is the possibility of facing problems related to the meaning of life, as well as the
directions of their own existence and the voids and crises that arise in their trajectory.
These moments of tension also reach younger people, especially during adolescence,
and the anguish can cause intense suffering, leading them to suicidal ideation and
eventually to the practice of suicide. Faced with these phenomena, the importance of
the theme and the relevance of the literature review were perceived, thus seeking ti
provide a reflection through the theory of Viktor Emil Frankl, founder of logotherapy,

the therapy of the meaning of life. Logotherapy provides man with na understanding of
life in its character of mission, offering a more responsible and humanized view of man.
Early in his career, the young Frankl soon became interested in issues related to
suicidal behavior , providing relevant assistance to young people in Vienna at the time.
Then, through his experience as a prisoner in nazi camps, and with his personal
testimony, he further strengthened his psychological theory. The possibility of finding
meaning in existence is presented as a preventive proposal for young people today
who experience existential emptiness and lack of motivation to continue living, seeing
in suicidal ideations a way to get rido f suffering. The logotherapeutic proposal
reinforces man’s ability to take responsibility for his choices and recognize the value of
his life, that is, the response to the phenomenon of Young people with suicidal ideation
contemplates their ability to self-transcend, through a movement presente throughout
human being, which is to meet the Other and help.
