As repercussões psicossociais da gestação decorrente do abuso sexual: uma revisão integrativa.
Resumo
Sexual violence represents a worldwide problem of high prevalence, which has been
neglected for many years. Real information about the numbers of sexual violence is
difficult to obtain, since it occurs constantly and most victims feel shame or guilt for
the aggression suffered or afraid to denounce the aggressor. Considering this
problem, the present study aims, through an integrative literature review, to
understand the psychosocial repercussions of the pregnancy that resulted from the
crime of sexual violence. To this end, a search was carried out in the Google
Scholar, Pepsic, Scielo and Lilacs electronic databases, from March to November
2022. It was possible to apprehend the characteristics and feelings of the women
involved and their experiences in having to choose between interruption or not the
pregnancy. With regard to the care of victims of sexual violence who became
pregnant, which allows us to conclude that for these women, going through such a
situation is characterized as being of great suffering, with marked experiences of
tormenting feelings and thoughts due to the violence and unwanted pregnancy.
Therefore, it is worth emphasizing the importance of good preparation of health
professionals to carry out the function of welcoming and caring for the health of
victims. With this review, it is expected to contribute to the study of the subject,
increasing the understanding about this experience by health professionals and
scholars in the area.
