Um debate acerca da violência doméstica na atual crise sanitária no Brasil

Abstract

Commonly, when dealing with the subject of domestic violence in the Brazilian context, what is observed is the existence of certain patterns, discourses, social and cultural practices that corroborate the occurrence of violence and its perpetuation. In this sense, when the problem of domestic violence in Brazilian society is critically analyzed, which is perceptible to the high rate of occurrence of this crime, it is also notable through scientific studies that during the Covid-19 pandemic there was an increase in the index of cases, as well as an underreporting with regard to the number of complaints is also evidenced. In this sense, this research has as its object of study the occurrence of domestic violence during the context of a pandemic arising from the coronavirus. Thus, the research aims to instigate a debate about domestic violence in the current context of the sanitary crisis arising from the coronavirus in Brazil. The work also aims to demonstrate how the Maria da Penha Law contributes to combating domestic violence; Reflect on how the pandemic is a factor that contributes to the increase in domestic violence; Present statistical data that prove the increase in domestic violence during the coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, to carry out the research, a qualitative approach research was selected, through a bibliographic and comparative approach, in which a range of readings, selection, organization of authors (a), theoretical and scientific materials was essential. In this sense, it highlights that the research is characterized as a descriptive-exploratory research. In addition, it is noteworthy that for the construction of the theoretical framework of this work, it is essential to use articles, books, theses, dissertations, doctrine, legal documents such as the Maria da Penha Law, in parallel, an analysis will also be carried out. critical and profound from the interpretation, reflection of the materials used. In this sense, it highlights that the research presents in its development statistical data, tables that confirm the increase in the number of cases of domestic violence during the pandemic. Starting from this point, the research raises the following questions: For what factors was there an increase in the number of domestic violence in Brazil during the context of the health crisis? What are the main causes that contribute to the perpetuation of domestic violence? What is the impact of the Maria da Penha Law? Based on the questions made, it is noteworthy that these questions will be answered during the construction of the research. Furthermore, it is emphasized that it is of paramount importance to build research that addresses the issue of domestic violence in the context of the health crisis in Brazil from a critical and grounded perspective.
