Abstract

Civil construction walks slowly pace on the evolution path with processes carried out, still manually, it is the sector that most resists modernization and industrialization. The market, which is very dynamic and demanding, has required increasingly sophisticated, sustainable and innovative products. Lean deadlines, higher quality, sustainability and innovation are key elements and success indicators of a product sold today. Having control over the execution and planning processes from the previous phase to the post-delivery has become essential. Through these and others, Construction Information Modeling (BIM) becomes essential in the construction market in view of the gains with the improvement of processes, increased collaboration between designers, more information on the elements used and mitigation of errors during all construction phases. The national market has the participation of senior and junior companies in the civil construction segment. Junior companies are linked to Higher Education Institutions, HEIs, and are made up of regularly enrolled students whose objective is to develop entrepreneurship through entrepreneurial experience during the undergraduate period. The general objective of the present study is to map all Junior Companies of Architecture and Civil Engineering regularly registered with the Brazilian Confederation of Junior Companies, identifying the level of use BIM and diagnosing, in fact, the advance of the dissemination of the methodology in organizations linked to HEI, the main means of training new professionals for the job market.
