Resumo: Composite beam is a structural element composed of a steel beam and a concrete slab, which are connected through mechanical connectors, known as shear connectors that have the role of ensuring the interaction between structural parts, in this way, the slab starts to act to combat the compression efforts and the metallic profile to the traction efforts. Thus, the variation in the type of connector and its measurements can directly influence the structural behavior of the combined beam assembly, contributing, when well dimensioned, to the increase in the load capacity of the mixed beam, as well as the reduction of vertical displacements. The general objective of this work, is to perform the computational modeling through the software © Abaqus-CAE Research V.14, of three mixed beams of steel and concrete, with variation of the types of connectors. The beam analysis will be carried out by the Finite Element Method - MEF. All modeled composite beams will have the same measures of metallic profile and concrete slab, varying only the types of shear connectors that will be under analysis, namely: stud bolt, perfobond and U profile. Specific objectives of this article are: the elaboration of graphs between the load-displacement relation of each mixed beam, with their respective connectors, of the relative slip of each connector in relation to the concrete slab and analysis of the maximum stresses in the shear connectors, at the end demonstrating what set that presents the best results of load capacity and less vertical displacement. Keywords: Numerical Modeling; Composite Beams; Shear Connectors; Finite Element Method.
