Construção de sentido do trabalho para jovens em situação de pobreza.

Abstract

The present study aimed to understand the impacts of poverty on the construction of meaning in work by poor young people, with the specific objectives of describing the implications of poverty in the daily lives of poor young people, identifying the meanings attributed by poor young people to work and investigating factors associated with the construction of meaning about work by poor young people. The problem of the present study is based on the impact of poverty, as a multidimensional condition, on the construction of meaning in work by poor young people, justifying the need to understand this impact in a scenario of multiple social inequalities that cross the lives of young people. in order to impact this construction of meaning. The study carried out presents as fundamental concepts the definition of meaning, work, 5 poverty and the characterization of working Brazilian youth. The research was carried out through an integrative literature review and the selected studies were examined through thematic contente analisys in order to consider as categories of analisys the implications of poverty in the life of young people, the factors associated with the construction of meaning in work and the meaning of work. The results point to the different difficulties associated with the context of poverty when young people enter the job market, such as the need to enter informal and precarious jobs, difficulty in working in the desired career as well as constructions of the meaning of work correlated with the young person's need to confront poverty, with the results indicative of the multidimensionality of this social condition, which is based on different social inequalities that maintain the situation of poverty. It highlights the need for future studies to analyze the problems associated with young people's difficulty in exercising social rights that can contribute to the construction of a dignified life for them, as well as studies that question the role of public and social policies as instruments for the exercise of assistance. as a way of making the complex structure of social inequalities experienced by poor young people invisible.
