Abstract

This article aims to bring discussions about suicidal behavior in the LGBTQIA+ population, with the main objective of understanding the incidence of this behavior in this population. The method used was a bibliographic review, of a qualitative nature, carried out through two platforms, with works in Portuguese: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Google Scholar. In addition to complementary bibliographies of classic authors who work on the topic. As suicide is the result of multiple causes, it is noted that the LGBTQUIA+ community is more prone to this phenomenon when compared to the general population. Keywords: Suicide. Mental health.
