Resumo: Civil construction enables relevant advances for a society. The constructions alluding to this sector are particularly supportive of economic development and generate employment opportunities, thus also encompassing the social pillar. However, just as the advances are significant, the environmental degradation resulting from these activities is absurd. Having as motivation the apprehension with the environment, the term sustainability was expressed, which is, in its essence, an awareness in aggregation with a series of actions and measures that aim to facilitate the rational use of natural resources. In order to achieve greater control and encouragement to these measures, they presented environmental certifications, heating up the market in question and enabling the emergence of sustainable constructions. The National Program for Energy Efficiency in Buildings – PROCEL EDIFICA, was founded in 2003 by ELETROBRAS/PROCEL and suggests that there is greater energy efficiency in buildings. From the creation of the program, the Procel Edifica Seal was created, labeling the buildings that present energetic efficiency in their construction method and in their use. The Procel Edifica Seal is another type of environmental certification aimed at reducing environmental impact. This work examines the application of the Procel Edifica Seal in a residential project, this one intended for the C. The application of the Seal was analyzed regarding the building envelope, the analysis worksheet was completed through the data collected in the residential architecture project. At the end of the analysis, changes to the project were proposed as a phase of detailing the building in order to reach the maximum level of energy efficiency regarding the envelope.
